It was a hardcore game of Monopoly. I mean really hardcore. It was the sort of atmosphere like at poker games, everyone's face hidden in shadow, lights hanging ominously overhead, secrecy and paranoia overwhelming the scene. There was an excessive number of playing pieces, and California land titles similar to the LIFE insurance slips. Guns were in holsters at people's hips. Players were dressed up for the occasion. And I was the banker. ~*~*~ It was the scene of a post-crime; a family of a mother, father, and teenage son and daughter all dead. The father had gone mad, killing his family and then himself. I was hanging out at the school and was in the art room or journalism or something and was trying to flirt with this guy, but he was still on his ex-girlfriend.
